Love Is All You Need

For the first time this Christmas, I put my doll-sized Victorian settee near the tree. On it, I placed my antique doll.

Penny looking at tree

The cats were jealous. "How come the doll gets her own beautiful chair, and we have to use the human-sized furniture?" they wondered.

Well, somebody (I'm not namin' names) began chewing on the doll's dress. I had to put the doll away for safekeeping.

"It's all OURS!" they gleefully mewed. "We have our own little settee!"

Penny rolling on settee

And with that, the cats jumped onto the beautiful settee and made themselves at home.

"This is the life! What a very nice place for us kitties to sit and relax," said Penny.

"We must tell those humans to leave this settee here for us permanently!" said Phoebe.

And so, the kitties got their wish. The little settee was left in the parlor after Christmas was over. And the kitties rejoiced. And they were so happy, they wanted the world to share in their happiness.

So they made this video for all of you to enjoy. "We wish all the humans and animals in the world Peace and Happiness and Love for all of 2011!"

The End.

Hi Pam,

Your kitty pals are devine! They are definitely kitty divas, and pose so pretty for the camera.

I've been meaning to ask you. What are you reading these days? Would love to read your post about your books!

Hi Mrs. D!

Believe it or not, I haven't read a book of fiction since high school! I'm just not into fiction at all, which is probably what most Victorian-lovers read. I like books about science, psychology, philosophy, history, current events, and sometimes biographies. I just finished reading "The Sociopath Next Door."

Not what you expected, right?! :-)

Hi Yvonne-

You wouldn't believe how many blurry photos I have of the cats! I just take a lot of pictures, hoping some will be sharp enough to post!

I showed my cats your video, telling them that this is proper cat behavior, not to be harassing one another all of the time. They finished watching it, turned to me and pointed out that they don't have a darling little sofa all of their own like your kitties do. Now they want one. Sigh.

Hi Suzie-

What smart cats you have! Very clever of them to try to guilt you into getting them a little sofa. Mine tricked me into leaving the little sofa out for them by chewing my doll's dress. Next thing you know, they'll hide our keys, lock us out of the house, and we'll all be living on the streets.

Thanks! Yeah, my cats are always telling me what exquisite taste they have. That's how they hoodwinked me into leaving the little settee out for them! :-)

Thank you! We love our kitties. I wouldn't call it spoiling, though. We get a kick out of their antics!

Hi Rose-

I've had cats my whole life but never had two become such good friends as these two. You just never know what you're gonna get with cats!
