Christmas Day

Christmas Day is here!

Manger

I hope you are all enjoying the holiday. This year, we will spend Christmas at my brother's house, and tomorrow will get together with my husband's family. We are both so lucky to have our families close by.

This morning, Terry and I exchanged gifts.

Giving Gifts

The cards have all been delivered and are displayed on our door.

Christmas Cards on Door

The mistletoe is hung in a most convenient place!

I bought myself an early Christmas present. I just couldn't resist this beautiful Christmas lamp!

New Christmas Lamp

I love this framed lithograph Terry picked out for me a few years back. The image contains so much of the things I love!

Winter Lithograph

This penguin and polar bear bring a bit of cheer to our chilly winter!

Chilly Friends

I usually put this buggy near the tree. This year, I also decided that the antique doll and settee would also make a nice vignette near the tree.

Christmas Vignette

The buggy contains my 3 teddy bears: Oatmeal, Cream of Wheat and Cocoa Wheats.

Penny approves of this year's vignette.

And so does Phoebe!

I used to place a beautiful handmade lace tree skirt under our tree. Then Penny came along. She is very mischievous around the tree. The lace tree skirt had to be replaced with a white sheet. Many of our beautiful ornaments have to stay packed away because Penny thinks the tree is one giant Cat Toy Holder.

Have a very Merry Christmas!

Awe! I see Daisy's card! She likes to sit under the tree too! I think it must be warm under there with the lights on! I love your kitty sized sofa! Too cute! I used to have a piano bench that I recovered with some pretty pricey fabric and Daisy thought it was purrfect for her! ha ha!

Hi Dana-

We were so happy to receive Daisy's card! She looks so cute sitting with the Christmas lights. I think cats intentionally sit where they know they'll look cute! Hope you had a fun Christmas. :-)

Hi Yvonne,

I hope you had a nice Christmas. At least you have a real tree, even if it's a bit small. Ours is fake. I love the smell of a real tree, but I know the cats would knock it over.

Have a fantastic New Year! I've enjoyed your blog as well. You always have such fascinating things to blog about! And thank you for all your kind comments this year.

Hi Marcie-

Thank you for all your sweet comments. The buggy comes out every Christmas, so the cats said, "Been there, done that!" They were totally into the settee this year, and just ignored the buggy!
