Our 14th Wedding Anniversary & Apple Festival

The Stars of the Fest!

Today, Terry and I will celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary!

This past weekend, we went to historic Long Grove, Illinois for their annual Apple Festival. The day of our wedding, we also went to Apple Festival with our photographer to take some photos at the gazebo there. Sometimes, around our anniversary, we like to go back and photograph ourselves at the same gazebo.

14 Years of Wedded Bliss!

Apple Festival is a great outdoor fall-themed event.

We purchased it to commemorate another year together.

Fabulous day at the apple festival...I'm sea green with envy. One of the many things I miss about living in the midwest. Nobody does festivals and fairs like they do. Happy Anny to you and the one you love. Sea Witch

Sea Witch-

Thank you! I've only lived in the Chicago area, so I don't know how it is in other parts of the country (or the world!).

What a fun looking place and it looked like a gorgeous day!! Happy Anniversary to you also!
I love the house in the picture and the tub filled with candy--it looks like saltwater taffy!
Thanks for the nice comments on my blog about my Halloween decs; and to answer your question about our cats, if they get into my decorations?--yes they do! Or, I should say, Olive does tend to try and play with things. Our other cat, E.B. is a distinguished elder gent of 13 and he leaves most of my decorations alone. Olive hasn't wrecked anything yet, thank goodness, but she did track dusty paw prints across the top of my nice black fabric for the coffin table. ;-)

Hi Katie-

Thank you!

Long Grove is a fun place to visit. Very small, but the shops are unique. If you ever dip down into Illinois, it isn't that far.

Olive must be a very good cat if she hasn't wrecked anything. You wouldn't believe how many lamps were broken and electric cords chewed when our 2 cats were young! They are E.B.'s age now. :-)

Hi Kim-

Thank you! It's really tempting to buy everything I see in these old-fashioned candy stores! As for the wine, I don't drink, but my husband sampled them. But they like so much fun, it made me want to start drinking! :-)
