The sun would try to melt it at times...
And the ice rink began to get a little too wet for skating...
And last week, I spotted my first flower of the season... a crocus!
We opened our windows for the first time. The cat window perch came out of storage, and Phoebe was delighted to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors!

For weeks, I have envied my fellow bloggers' photos of beautiful Spring flowers, and now I can enjoy the real thing! Our entire weekend was lovely. But we still are not out of the woods, as our last frost date is May 15. It just felt so good to be outdoors without a coat!
Welcome, Spring!
I am really sick of snow. Mine is almost gone. We are leaving for NYC and I pray this week is warm and beautiful. Enjoy the spring and the birds are back.

Hi Yvonne-
ReplyDeleteI wish you lots of great fun in NYC, and lots of beautiful Spring weather!
-Pam
I never get tired of spring flowers, weather it be in a picture or the real thing. We have a few hanging on as it has been cool. I have my ice box full of cut jonquils and tulips trying to hold for an open house this weekend and maybe even for Easter,I will put them back in. It's a good thing I don't keep a lot of food in there. But what a treat when the door opens, the light comes on and out pops spring. Glad it is coming your way. Enjoy it. Richard at my Old Historic House
ReplyDeleteHi Richard-
ReplyDeleteTulips and jonquils in your fridge, how wonderful that must be! I hope they keep until Easter... that would be great. Enjoy your weather, and I hope the river stays away from your house this year!

My dad planted crocus bulbs all over our front and side lawn in New Jersey. I loved seeing them slowly bloom through late frost or onion snow. Blessings to you. Sea Witch
ReplyDeleteHi Sea Witch-
ReplyDeleteCrocuses are so cute, and a delight to see as a first little sign of Spring! What a nice memory of the crocuses your dad planted. :-)
-Pam
Your flowers are lovely and the cats look so content:). Glad you are getting some spring weather!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Kim
Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteWe had a hint of Spring, but now it has turned cold again. I'm hoping the winter coats will go away by Easter!
-Pam
You know spring has sprung when the first sweet crocus suddenly appear. The garden centers are looking better each week filling with so much tempting color. We have been planting shrubs mostly, as this place has little landscaping.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the early spring, soon it will be hot again!

Marcie
Hi Marcie-
ReplyDeleteIt seems we never get much Spring weather here. We go from Winter right into Summer! I do hope these April showers bring May flowers! It's a great time of year to plant some shrubs, though. Enjoy your Spring!
