Here's hoping that all my American blogging friends
have gone to vote today!
It's a privilege to live in a country where everyone has a voice.
Please use it!

  1. I did vote and proud to have the freedom to do so. Great Post! I find it sad that many blogs do not post about freedom, patriotism, etc..I mean, isn't it more important than crafts, antiques, and decorating.....
    I am glad you did.

  2. Hi Marcie-

There are some great political and patriotic blogs out there, which is wonderful. But I think in general, politics and Victorian decorating should stay in separate blogs. There's a place for both! I think I would lose followers if I started a Victorian blog and then went all political. Of course, I'd gain a new crop of followers. So I try to leave any political posts in a historical context to my blog's theme. :-)
